The game was updated to use the LocalLow location about 2.5 years ago, but any Steam Cloud data from the "MyDocuments" era is still there. So the root problem here goes back to a bad decision by myself to use the MyDocuments folder for saves for PB2. On the macOS side, I am using Ventura 13.1, in the event that that matters. If it's helpful for context, I started playing Poly Bridge 2 in Sep 2020, so something may have changed since then (such as the default directories for app data). I feel like this might be a potential source of conflict with the way data is stored in the macOS environment, but uncertain what to do about it or how to test that theory. Deleting both of these results in them being recreated in both locations, however. One distracting thing for me about the Windows installation (even after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls), there seem to be two separate folders that the user data subfolders are split between (based upon findings from other forum searches): `%USERDATA%\AppData\LocalLow\Dry Cactus\Poly Bridge 2\` and `Documents\Dry Cactus\Poly Bridge 2\`. But on Mac the process seems to fail part-way through for some reason, even if I delete or rename those same folders on Mac and then reinstall the application via Steam. Deleting the corresponding folders on Windows and reinstalling PB2 results in Steam recreating them appropriately. Per prior results, I have looked on my Mac in the `~/Library/Application Support/Dry Cactus/Poly Bridge 2/` folders and have seen that the subfolders that should be there are only partial vs the Windows machines folders. ![]() Uninstalling and reinstalling has not changed the error. Naturally, I've retried the sync operation on both the Mac and Windows machines to no avail. The gist of my problem is that my Windows machines both synchronize data just fine over Steam Cloud.īut, when I recently did a fresh install of Poly Bridge 2 to a Mac machine, before I even opened the app, Steam presented the "unable to sync" error where the Steam Cloud status UI is. ![]() I have searched the forums both on Steam and abroad for any answers, but I'm not seeing any results that are newer than 2021, which makes me wonder if something broke recently. I am feeling kind of stuck and hoping someone else has run into this issue and can help.
